GIVING BACK AND PLUGGING IN
TENTATIVE FALL SCHEDULE
OCTOBER: Join Seaside Church in giving back to our community and the great state of Florida this Fall. We will kick of the Fall season in October, with “Socktoberfest” by collecting new socks for a homeless ministry based out of Gainesville, FL led by our very own Cam Martin. You can drop your sock donations off each week during the Seaside community beach service on Sundays from 8-9am (At the Vilano Beach Access) or drop them off at the “Box of Socks” located at the community Vibrations event on October 18th.
NOVEMBER: Join Seaside as they collect non perishable food items to help supply the local food pantries in St. Augustine for the upcoming winter. They will also be collecting Publix and Winn Dixie gift cards, to provide thanksgiving dinners to some of the families in our community in need, that are not in the shelters. You can drop your weekly donations off at the community beach service from 8-9am or during Market Day on November 2nd.
DECEMBER: Seaside and Vilano Main Street have teamed up to help children in our community who’ve had a hard time remembering the meaning of Christmas. We will be collecting Target gift cards from November 15th to Dec 15th to provide Christmas gifts for the children at St Augustine Youth Services and Betty Griffin House. These gift cards will be used to purchase specific gifts on the children’s Christmas wish lists. Gift cards for the presents can be dropped off at the weekly beach services on Sundays, during the Nov & Dec market days or bring them to the annual December Christmas Movie night on Saturday Dec 7th (Sponsored by Seaside at the new Vilano amphitheater) *Free hot chocolate and popcorn will be provided at the event.
FALL STUDIES FOR WOMEN:
TUESDAY MORNINGS: Led by Lisa Leighton
"This 7-session study by Priscilla Shirer will encourage you to recognize your weakness as the key that the Lord gives you to unlock the full experience of His strength in your life. In what ways do you feel insufficient? Those places create the greatest opportunity to experience the sufficiency of God. Instead of ignoring, neglecting, or trying to escape your weaknesses, see them as the gifts that they are, given specifically and strategically by God to unlock the door of God's strength."
TUESDAY Mornings starting September 3rd
@ Lisa's Home 9:30-11 am
TUESDAY EVENINGS:
"All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you — unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you're tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you."
TUESDAY Evenings starting September 3rd
Location TBA @ 6 PM
MEN'S SMALL GROUP
TUESDAY MORNINGS: "The Insanity of God tells a story—a remarkable and unique story to be sure, yet at heart a very human story—of the Ripkens’ own spiritual and emotional odyssey. The gripping, narrative account of a personal pilgrimage into some of the toughest places on earth, combined with sobering and insightful stories of the remarkable people of faith Nik and Ruth encountered on their journeys, will serve as a powerful course of revelation, growth, and challenge for anyone who wants to know whether God truly is enough."
TUESDAY Mornings at 7am
@ Cliff & Debbie Dickinson's Home
